| What do you think of families with small children moving abroad?
Is is better to move before your children are in school, or when they're much older and can make an informed decision themselves?
Is it selfish to move them from not only their school, but their friends and family, even if it means a better life?
We're looking into moving abroad again. We've found some options that will allow to do this, but it'll still take a few years yet. Which means both of mine will be in school.
This is the main issue, and the only reason we're just considering it, rather than going for it. I'm worried my children will settle at their school, just to be uprooted from their family and friends. On the other hand, where we're planning to move, has even lower crime rate (and it's very low here), good schools, much bigger houses, cheaper houses, cheaper way of living etc and I think they'll really enjoy it there. |

| Personally, I wouldn't move when they're in school. Too much disruption IMO. Could you not move when they're older? Lie, out of school older?
Or very soon so your children both start school over there, so no friends or routine lost? |

| I used to live abroad and my children settled in really quickly.
We've moved back here and although we all hate it and can't wait to move back, they've settled in well again.
I think it's more troule for the adults, not the children. They adapt to anything! lol |
